X-Factor-Ed Pty Ltd (ABN 75 685 273 527) operates X-Factor-Ed in Australia. X-Factor-Ed S.A.C. operates X-Factor-Ed in Peru, including expeditions run there. When you contact us through this website, your information is received by X-Factor-Ed Pty Ltd and may be shared with X-Factor-Ed S.A.C. where that is needed to respond to you, for example to plan a trip to Peru.
Australian Privacy Principles. X-Factor-Ed Pty Ltd handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect through the enquiry form: your name, email address, school, role, who referred you, and your message. We use it only to respond to your enquiry, discuss working with your school, and keep a record of our conversations. We don’t sell it, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Overseas disclosure. Your information may be disclosed to X-Factor-Ed S.A.C. in Peru, and it may be stored by our email and hosting providers outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure anyone we share it with protects it in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Retention. We keep enquiry records for as long as we are in contact with your school, and for up to two years after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. After that we delete them.
Access and correction. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing harry@x-factor-ed.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Images of students. Photographs and video of students are published only with specific written consent from a parent or guardian, for a limited period, using first names and school only. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Complaints. If you are concerned about how we have handled your information, email harry@x-factor-ed.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

- When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
- An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
