Questions
Questions schools ask
Is it safe?
Safety is planned before anything else. Supervision is planned trip by trip and set out in the risk assessment your school signs off. On the 2026 Wangaratta trip, that meant one adult to every ten students, never fewer than two. Read the safety page.
What does it cost?
Fees are agreed with each school once we understand what you need.
Won’t students miss class?
Some, yes. Planned a year ahead it’s manageable: the year group can be split across two trips, students take responsibility for catching up, and the work is online anyway. The benefits outweigh the disruption, and it works best when the decision comes from the top.
Doesn’t it all depend on Harry?
At the start Harry works closely with your school. The point is that your staff and students end up running it themselves.
What ages does it cover?
X-Factor-Ed can be applied to all ages, but it was originally designed for the secondary context.
What does it ask of our teachers?
They hand over some control. Once it’s running, their role becomes coaching and mentoring rather than managing, which usually takes less of their time, not more.
Where do you work?
School programs in Australia and Latin America, with calls across time zones. Expeditions run in Peru, for the moment.
